Please help. I have outlook 07 and am trying to set my gmail IMAP folder to be my default .pst

Can't i set this new gmail .pst as the default data file and remove existing Personal Folders that came as default with Outlook? When i select this gmail .pst data file the "Set as default" option in Outlook gets disabled? Why?

Thanks

Outlook doesn't allow IMAP accounts to be the default because you can't store non-mail folders like calender, journal, notes or contacts on it.

Oh, that makes sense. Is there anything you'd recommend I do to streamline use of IMAP and Outlook?

Unfortunately I can't recommend anything as I don't use Outlook. Most of the information on it I have are from a brief period of using it with Hotmail and things I've read online. I found the above information by searching for "Outlook IMAP" on support.microsoft.com .
