Sea Monkey vs Firefox & Thunderbird

I'm confused. I was using Mozilla as my combination browser/email when the support stopped. It was recommended that I switch to Sea Monkey as my browser/email and I did. I'm very happy with the current setup.

My question: What advantage, if any, to a person using Firefox as the browser and Thunderbird for email when you can have Sea Monkey that has both a browser and email capabilities?

Thanks for your input. It confirms what I sensed. I was using Mozilla before they stopped support. Since then I've downloaded and use Seamonkey and I've not experienced any crashes yet.
