SD Card Memory

I have had a Toshiba L655 for near a year and just discovered it can read and write to SD memory cards!

What is the difference between an SD and an SDHC card? I have a camera the can take an SD but not an SDHC.
The pewter manual only refers to the SD. Will the SDHC work?

Also, what are the pros and cons of SD memory v flash drive memory?

With reference to backward compatibility, while SDHC devices can use both SD and SDHC memory cards, SD devices can only use SD memory cards. So if the computer's card reader specs says only SD, SDHC memory card will not be recognized by the device.
