I have a Toshiba Satellite A505D-S6958 laptop! I have tried seeing if the backlight is is not! The hard drive is good (double checked on another computer)! I pushed the pins on the lid of the laptop to make sure it is not stuck! I also did the FN+F5 to recycel through the monitor or projector choices I hooked it to another Toshiba laptop and it shows it is hooked to it, but I still cannot see the screen to go in and change anything or do anything! It does not get hot or anything of that nature! I also did a force shutdown unhooked power cord, battery and held the power button 15 seconds! The lid was shut one day (like in hibernation or sleep mode) and I can see nothing but I can hear it booting etc It is running Windows Vista!
