screen flickering when going between thumbnails in windows 7

Has anyone had the problem of their screen flickering, blanking out then on, when you have mulitple windows open and you put your cursor over the icon on your task bar to look at the thumbnails?

Please help. I have a sony cw laptop with a nvidia ge force graphics card and when I did a troubleshooting detecting thing is said something about my video card wasn't compatible with windows 7 and something about wddm.

mmm my first thought is something to do with the graphics card or the drivers, have you tried installing the latest drivers from nvidias website?
