I'm running Win7 Release Candidate on a new computer. (Asus M3N78-VM motherboard, AMD Phenom 9500 AM2+ Quad-Core CPU, and 4gb PC6400 DDR2 800MHz Memory (2x2048MB).) I'm running Comodo 3.10 firewall & anti-virus.
Every few hours, Comodo reports that c:\Windows\System32\rundll32.exe is trying to run a dll file that's part of a program that is not currently running. Comodo says that rundll32.exe is safe, but that it doesn't recognize the dll file. At first, all of the dll files involved in these messages were from one old program (TurboCad Deluxe v8. But I uninstalled that, and now I see it trying to run dll files from various other programs (like Belarc Advisor).
Can anyone tell me whether this is safe behavior? Or what I might need to do about it?
Thanks,
Tim Deaton
