Revive package mgr

Im using Ubuntu Hardy Heron 8.4 and was trying to get Acrobat Reader installed with comand line. now I get this message when I try to run Synaptic Package Manager:

E: Type '<!DOCTYPE' is not known on line 1 in source list /etc/apt/sources.list.d/medibuntu.list

and the application quits there after. What should I do?
