i have an external hard drive. I have used it to store very important files, unfortunately it started saying, F: is not accessible, file or directory is corrupted and unreadable. how to fix this without deleting files?
Right click on F: and select Properties > Tools > (Error-checking) Check Now...
i did what you told to do...when i clicked error checking....it says: disk check could not be performed because windows cannot access the disk.
Could you tell us the make and model of the external hard drive please.
