(Solved) ~ Restoring Computer? *Please Help*
(54 posts)Brazilianboiii,
Not sure what you mean by ATM ??
ATM can be a Credit Card Number.
ATM can be an Authorized Service Center Code.
ATM can be a transmission protocol.
ATM can be a computer identification code.
What is Acer requesting Specifically ??

Hmm, I just came back from an outing and see that you made some progress. Took me 10 minutes to read thru all of this. But there are some weird things though. I have never seen a password request for a system restore. One sometimes sees that on routers, and there the default is usually "Password" - not very innovative. But maybe it is asking you for the password that you had set for your admin partition.
And the ATM is also strange. In computers that usually refers to a package switching protocol (asynch. transfer mode). No idea what that could possibly have to do with our task at hand.
"Password" is usually for routers. I don't think it applies here. Did you have a password set for your system? And when you had the system restored previously at the geeks, did they ask you for a password when they were doing it? Something really does not compute here - unless Acer has a very own way of doing things. I would give them a call.
