I have windows xp 64bit sp1 installed on my comp. Recently for no reason it will restart in the middle of using any program/game and gives me an error report when restarted. I do not use this computer on the internet and never have. Is there anyway of taking my laptop (other comp) and going on internet and finding the correct update package to update this rig? Or does the computer have to be connected to the internet to calculate what updates it needs. My computer has never been updated and has a service pack 1. Could I just download sp2 or sp3 etc. And put it on my offline rig? I'm pretty sure that's why it restarts for no reasons. I think it needs updates. Any ideas would be great. Thank you.
