I am just starting getting into re-skinning Windows 7 and commonly used programs on my HP laptop.
I'm becoming familiar with the concept of editing resource/.dll files to change the images used by programs GUI as a means of re-skinning.
The issue is that most programs use a fairly large number of images to create there interface and it's tough to tell what goes where.
Anyone have any tips on dealing with this?
I was thinking it would be almost too easy if there was a program similar to AutoHotkey's Window's Spy, that when you hover over a program's GUI it tells you what image resource that part of the interface is using. Does anything like this exist?
General tips on re-skinning would be appreciated, even directions on a better place to post my question, as I'm new to the forum.
Thanks Guy's!
