I have replaced the hard drive in my Acer 1640z with a 16ogb hdd in order to do this I put a new copy of xp on it. I have a restore disk but the rest of the data was stored on the partition of the hard drive that I removed. I have since formatted this thinking I could use it as a spare hard drive, and although it is a 80gb hard drive it is only coming up as being half of that, is there any way I can recover the files ovbiously still on the hard drive and reclaim the whole drive to use as a back up drive or is this something wacky that Acer do.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
