Remove Public Folder?

Hi everyone. I hope somebody can help.

I am a single user of a single computer so I am thinking that I do not need the public folder and I would like to know how to remove it from windows explorer.

But wait - I thought we needed that as though it was a SysFile :S?

Thanks Scott the link is good if you want to move the Public folder but I want to remove it from the explorer window.
