Try this program: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shexview.html - The red dot on top left is to remove highlighted entry.

It doesn't say which icon is open file location. There's just a lot which say open or run but none that indicate which is for open filee location

Just wondering, why do you want to remove that entry?
I find it quite helpful for finding out where a shortcut points to.

Mainly asthetics and I don't use it much.

Ok, that makes since.
I just searched though the registry and found the keys controlling the display of it for search results and shortcut files.
I will upload the registry edit files in a few minutes to remove them.

Ok. I just uploaded the registry edits.
You can get them from my web site at http://www.techoddity.com/tweaks/
Sorry about the two hour wait. I got busy with other computer activities.
