I am having some problems with Remote Desktop.
Situation: I have W2008R2 running. W2008R2 has smart card reader (SCR) plugged into USB-port and SCR has smart card in it. I do have installed required software.
If i connect over RDP to W2008R2 then additional software says that no SCRs found. Although device manager shows the SCR properly.
If i plug same time the reader to client computer and put smart card in it, then it works.
Any ideaS?

I do not want to authenticate myself to W2008R2 via smart card.
If i use Windows RDP client from local machine (Win7) to remote W2008R2, then W2008R2 does not recognize the reader which is plugged to its USB and neither the card.
It does only recognize the reader which is plugged to local machine (Win7).

USB devices other than printers are not supported by Remote Desktop...
Since that post is ~8 years old maybe it has changed? If not, then is it said out on Microsoft webpage?
