Hi,

I've just read the post about how to disable caps lock key and I thought it could help me to solve my problem.
I use a Qwertz keyboard, but when I want to type in Chinese the keyboard becomes Qwerty, which is quite annoying as I always get Z and Y wrong.
I found in the registry the location of the Chinese layout I want to edit:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Keyboard Layouts\E0200804

if I add a scanmap code like that:
00000000 00000000 03000000 2c001500 15002c00 00000000
(2c=x; 15=y)
Will it work?
I'm asking that question because I know that improper modifications can damage the system.

I already use the Chinese keyboard layout, but I want to modify it because I don't like the locations of Z and Y.
Now I created the reg. file and I'm going to try it out... hope it will work. I'll let you know.

mmhhh it didn't work. When I type Z it still writes Y and vice-versa.

I don't think your software works for me. My default layout is French (swiss), but I only want to modify the Chinese layout.

There is no reason why Autohotkey should not work for you.
They have a very good help forum which you may want to look at.
