Has anyone ever used a free piece of software called "Registry Easy"? I was told it is a good tool to have for fixing registry problems. A friend of mine who is running Windows ME, yes I know that is a bad version of windows, was told it could fix a problem he is having with a "kernel32.dll error".

Not only is it red flagged, it will cause more problems than you started with.
So called registry cleaners and registry boosters ( whatever that is supposed to mean ) are a bane to the community.
The best way to deal with 'registry problems' is to have a good imaging strategy in place.
