Question. Suppose I want to install Windows 8 on another partition, and be able to dual-boot alongside Windows 7. As I am creating a partition for Windows 8, will my files on that partition be strictly on that partition or can I let both partitions access the same files? Thank you in advance.

Both partitions should be able to access the files on the other.

You may run into some permission problems. Best is to setup your files in a seperate partition and set shared permissions.
