Can anyone help me with the recreation or creation of a recovery parition?

I have inherited the above mentioned laptop and there seems to be no way to perform a recovery from it's partition. Someone has already created the recovery disk set and they did not come with the laptop. So that option no longer exists nor does the menu option.

I could install a new copy of Vista Home Premium, but I would like to restore it to "Out of box" condition. As I see it my 2 options are access the existing partition or complete format creating a new recovery partition.

I do not know how to do either.

What happens when you press the power button on and start tapping the F8 key?

EDIT Here is a manual

You cannot create a recovery partition yourself. But you can reinstall the system and activate it with the key on the COA sticker that is on the bottom of the laptop. What is the OS (Vista, Windows 7 ??). I may have a link from where you can download an iso.

The only way you can get the recovery partition back is to buy the disks that have the image of the drive from the manufacturer.

@Germx: I tried that and the recovery option is absent.
@WHS: The operating system is Vista Home Premium. I'd like to have that link if you can find it. Thanks. I've been unable to find one for Vista by Googling.
@ presence1960: I didn't know that was an option with Toshiba. I'll have to check into it.

I just notice I messed up my title... It is supposed to be a Toshiba Satellite A135-S4827. I left out the "S".

@charliemike56, I am really sorry. I had the Vista iso download site at one time, but somehow it has vanished. I only have the Windows 7 download sites left.

Update: Found it in one of my December images. http://www.askvg.com/direct-do.....28AskVG%29

Thank you to each and everyone of you. I got my problem solved. StringJunky and whs turned me on to "askvg.com" I made myself and "all-in-one Vista Disk" and ran it as boot and it took care of everything right down to the drivers. I am not sure I understand how it works, but it did. It took me several attempts with imgburn to get a good disk, but I finally got the hang of it. Thanks again everyone for sharing your talents with me.
Regards,
