MY husband (dubbed the killer of all technology) broke his notebook somehow when he was in Iraq. he sent it home and i am trying to fix it so i can send it back. I bought a new hard drive already when i wasn't making head way with the old HD. It wasn't doing ANYTHING.

Now after waiting a log while for it to load it brings me to the this menu that asks me if i want to run a hole bunch of options. I clicked on "Toshiba recovery wizard" after it loaded it told me <ERROR> An Error has occurred. Error : 10- FA11 -045D. Recovery Error. Please press [OK] to turn off the computer.

please help T_T

I am not familiar how Toshiba Recovery works, but from the error message it looks like it is not able to access the recovery files or the issue is with the hard drive itself.

You had mentioned that you brought a new hard drive, does this mean that you had replaced the old hard drive with new hard drive and then trying to recover it using laptop recovery discs?
