Recover Disk Full error message

1 month old Gateway Laptop NX860 now showing error message that Recovery Disk is full each time it starts up and cannot finish loading some startup folders. My hard drive is 60 GB and recovery drive D is now 20gbs already.
I also did not receive an actual CD with my programs and other sofware installed.

what are my options? I've made copies of my files, but do i need to make my own backup recovery disks (CDs)? Very annoying and upsetting. Spending alot of money on new printers, latest software etc, when my prev versions were running fine...

This may be a System Restore issue. If you're comfortable with the current setup, you can try to disable Sysytem Restore. If in fact this clears up space, you should read this Geek article on how to permanently adjust the Restore settings (pre-set to unbelievably high levels)
