No, I just built this puter so when i go online they all want to update, including windows...but they dont recognize the tether for what it is so they cant connect

I tried manually with windows but get an error because it doesnt see the tether as an internet connection

@ chalky- Dn't go blu tht can run 2x mre expence, u need to choose a connection methode; client or AP, I rec only client; share "nothing". @ warlock- (I stole that frm the gr8 LH).
U also need usb 3.0

I have usb 3 but it only works for storage right now??....I think...maybe I'd better chk, I do know I read that somewhere

fixed it! I used a virgin mobile broadband to go adapter and a $35 card(I know, kind of expensive)and started my recommended updates and some where along that line it was fixed...now I can tether and all of my programs see the tether, including Windows update...thx for everyone's help
