Hello guys,
I am wondering, how to make a real-time website. I have seen lots of real-time websites like flight radar24, live rail tracker and so on. My question is this, how do they get the live data onto their websites. I’m sure they don’t phone call every company every moment of the day for updates. So how do they do it? It is something I would like to do myself sometime.
Thanks in advance,
Carlos.

surely it would all be linked to some kind of central database that the page keeps referencing and the database is update from what ever it is tracking...

how to do that is probably out of my scope and way to big an answer from a forum.

Good luck though

There's an app for that. My grandson flies and he broadcasts his position real time from his phone and it's GPS to the website where all us doting relatives can see exactly where he is flying on a map on a real time web site. All commercial planes have as similar broadcast. Trains too. Wireless transmission and modern technology is a wonderful thing
