Running Vista Ultimate32 SP1

I am using a 4GB thumbdrive for readyboost. The problem I am having is that every time I reboot the drive is not recognized. I have to pull it out and plug it back in and then it is recognized again. This happens no matter what USB drive I use and I have 10 of them.

Is this a known problem? Any ideas what is causing me to have to do this?

Thank you!!
