Random beep noises still booting up fine - HP DV6-3117sa Laptop

I have had this hp laptop since December 2010 for about 6 months it is making beeping noises although it is still reliable.
The laptop make beeps when plugged in or running on battery. Sometimes it stops and then about 2 minutes later it starts doing it again.
Also within the past week I got a error message saying "KDBSYNC.exe has stopped working". What is this ???
Please help it is driving me mad.

Thank You for the reply i have seen this before and tried it. it got rid of the error message but didnt fix the beeping noise.

Turn off Windows sounds, and see if it still beeps.

I don't have W7, but I would imagine, like Vista, it comes under Sounds. Maybe in Control Panel, or Personalization.

btw.Is it bleeping during bootup, when Windows starts installing, or all the time, when you have programs open ?

Type sound in the Start search box.

Sounds like you are RUNNING when this happens. If so, it is probably a program, so check THIS LINK out, it has helped me find the culprit more than one time.

The beep occurs when it is on and i am using it. i havent had one during start up, normally happens about 10 mins after it is turned on.

Sounds like it is being caused by some software you have running. Check them all for sound options.

hi
I took my laptop to a computer fixer, he said that it is the hard drive arms bouncing and making a squealing noise but it sounds like a beep.
He said he has never seen this before but he is sure that is what is causing it.
Have you had a squealing noise from your laptop/computers hard drive before?

Easy enough to test the drive on another computer, using a SATA to USB adapter.

Yep. That will also test the drive. Leave it 10+ minutes after plugging in.
