Unlike the competition, it also includes great tools like a Clean Uninstaller, to get rid of applications and clean up the junk that they leave behind. All with the click of a button.

Hello,

I've recently read and am trying to follow the following post: http://www.howtogeek.com/51873.....on-ubuntu/

I think I can build this easily enough, but I'm not to sure what to do the day I have a disk failure. It would be very helpful if a followup was made to this post with how exactly to recover from different fail cases! Does anyone know if one exists along the lines of the post above (a very introductory post)?

diego898,

Welcome to HTG.

I searched to find tutorials and found some like this

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation/SoftwareRAID
https://raid.wiki.kernel.org/index.php/RAID_Recovery#Recreating_an_array
http://linux.die.net/man/8/mdadm
http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/utils/raid/mdadm/

but couldn't find anything as detailed as the original HTG article except for older articles.

May be the MOD will e-mail The Geek and he will ask the writer to update the HowTo article.
