Quickset like program

I have an inspiron 6000 from dell. ANyone using it knows that dell did not give us a vistta compatible quickset. I like the features of quickset that show the volume and brightness large and clear when u change them, does anyone know a program that will show this?

Does your laptop have the media keys? do they work?

Usually my function + whatever keys work even without that special software for changing the brightness.

It does and they do work, but I want for it to show the the levels of brightness and volume largely and clearly when changed on the screen
