I'm looking at buying the following OEM components:

Western Digital Caviar Black WD1001FALS 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drives

SAMSUNG Black 22X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-ROM 2MB Cache SATA DVD Burner

I'm a little confused about what cables I would need to buy to hook them up. I'm under the impression that OEM parts normally do not come with cables. I'm starting from scratch, but my motherboard and power supply come with some extra cables:

ASUS RAMPAGE FORMULA LGA 775 Intel X48 ATX Intel Motherboard

SeaSonic M12 SS-700HM 700W ATX12V V2.3 / EPS12V V2.91 SLI Certified CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

I can't seem to find any information about this, so any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

the HDD needs SATA cables for both its data and power slots. The power SATA is wider of the two slots. The DVD drive is most likely a sata as well, the mobo usually comes with enough cables for the essential hardware.

your motherboard comes with three sata cables, and the power supply has plenty of connections. you're set with what you have
