QR code on picture using GIMP?

I am using GIMP and would like to imprint a QR code, which i made using Qreator(On ubuntu), onto the image. I'm not very good with GIMP so i'll need instructions on how to do it.

Yeah. Except i don’t know how to add Layers or manage them in GIMP. Youtube videos all show windows 7 or UN-updated GIMP.

bbno, give the following search a try: "using layers in gimp tutorial". You will be a layer master in no time.
