The other day i got Skyrim off steam. First let me say steam support was no help for this problem. Ok so Skyrim installed DirectX 11 for me, and ever since every game i tried playing's graphics screwed up. The games would start up fine and then overtime the graphics peeled off. little textures turn into black or clear triangles. And with skyrim having so many Polygons, the whole game would look like the Techno Cat game on the iphone. Textures will also stretch at the closest NPC near them, or me. so a body part would be sticking out in my face. Its not fun. I dont have any pictures of the games except the ones on my steam profile. http://steamcommunity.com/prof.....051753005/ Thank you for the help :) - Chess.

additional details - my graphics card is a Radeon HD 4300/4500 series. Can my card not handle directx maybe?

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyri.....quirements Not a gamer but you could be right about the DirectX11. From what I read DirectX9 is all you need. Also, your card is somewhat dated. http://www.tomshardware.com/fo.....ood-gaming according to this.

Chess, your card could be over heating. Download "Speccy", it will tell you the temperature of your graphics card and it's free. http://download.cnet.com/Specc.....81811.html
Check graphics card temperature before you play. Then check again when it starts going bad. Let me know what the temperatures are.

Chess, that way to high! The 73 C. is about max. Mine starts at 43 C. and goes up to 72 C. or 73 C. If your over clocking, set the card back to default. If not you need a better card to play Skyrim.

You might open the case and see if the graphics card fan is working and clean it out with canned compress air.
