I tried shrinking and all.. but the main problem is when i start my computer with Window XP CD ..It gives me the following kind of message "NO hard disk found in your system..... and so on.."

But the vista is still runing.. Can i have some assistance with it.??

The problem that you are encountering is that your computer has a hard drive controller that is too new for XP by default. You'll have to use the Load Drivers option during the setup to install the drivers, or use a slipstream xp install cd.
