mpc, since this is not an MS product I would assume that you have to get it yourself. You probly have to get it from the manufacturer of your PC (HP, Dell, or whatever) because Sigmatel does not support end users.

mpc, while the Sigmatel driver was one identified as a problem issue for SP1, I have not in fact installed SP1 yet. I'm waiting on the new theme patches.

All i did was uninstall the audio driver from Device Manager, checked Windows Updates, found that SP1 was now available for download and through Device Manager again, asked Windows to check for a new driver. Voila. It is an MS driver, not a Sigmatel one. The sound quality is the same. If the SIgmatel came pre-installed with your Dell, it should be available @ www.dell.com/support

This world is getting too complicated for an old man. There is a Sigmatel driver from Sigmatel that you can't get at, then there is a Sigmatel driver from MS which is just as good, but if you are OEM you have to get the Sigmatel driver from the OEM who probably get it from Sigmatel..... Did I forget something?
