Printer Sharing Help!

Hey,

I have a home computer (running Windows XP Home) hooked up to a Lexmark X75 printer. I have a laptop upstairs (running Windows Vista Premium(?)), that gets wireless internet via D-Link router. I want to share my files and printer, but I have no clue how, because I don't know if these two computers have a LAN going on or not.

If someone could assist me in file and printer sharing that'd be great. Reading the Help section on Microsoft's website or on their Control Panel isn't doing me that much good.

Ok, I figured out how to share the printer (yay me!).. but the file sharing I'm still stuck at, so if anyone can run me through that that'd be great.
