(Solved) - Printer Problem

I was wondering if someone could be so kind to offer me assistance with my issue. I am currently trying to connect a printer to my laptop but the laptop is not recognising the device. I have used the installation disk to install the drivers (which worked on my other laptop also running Vista) but still no luck.

The OS on my laptop is Vista and the printer I am trying to install is HP deskjet 2050 All in one.

Any help to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Did you try going to the HP site, and downloading the last Vista drivers ?

Sorry it took me so long to reply. The problem I had was a result of my partner messing up the initial install and ever since then her laptop just would not recognise the printer. I ended up reinstalling her operating system (there were other issues as well) and installed the printer drivers again and it is now working fine. Thanks for the advice though.
