I forgot to make one but my buddy baught the same laptop so ill use his computer to make one but im pretty sure the recovery disc only has vista drivers. But ill give it a try. Thanks for the tip.
i found almost all the drivers except a pci device coprocessor and an unknown device i think is the sound device. I know the sound device is a conexant high def audio but it doesnt reconize it as a device so when i go to install the device it says it cant detec an audio device. any idea how to fix that
I was able to successfully downgrade this laptop from Vista Home Premium to XP Pro SP2 successfully with help from various sites across the web. This laptop apparently uses the same motherboard as the HP DV6000 as far as I know. So here are the file names for each of the XP drivers! (You should be able to find any of these files by simply searching by the exact file name that I have posted either on HP or Google)
sp33867.exe (Install this one first)
sp34200.exe (Install this one second)
CHIPSET (with Network Drivers):
162.50_quadro_winxp2k_english_whql.exe or sp33537.exe
Hope this helps out! :)
