The drivers should be on the recovery discs.

Hmm. Try doing a Google search like this:

{Item} {Model} Drivers for XP

For example:

ATI Radeon XPress 200M Drivers For XP

Double click the Unknown. Tell it you will select the driver file yourself, and use the INF for the driver.

I was able to successfully downgrade this laptop from Vista Home Premium to XP Pro SP2 successfully with help from various sites across the web. This laptop apparently uses the same motherboard as the HP DV6000 as far as I know. So here are the file names for each of the XP drivers! (You should be able to find any of these files by simply searching by the exact file name that I have posted either on HP or Google)

AUDIO:
sp33867.exe (Install this one first)
sp34200.exe (Install this one second)

CHIPSET (with Network Drivers):
sp33411.exe

MODEM:
sp33742.exe

TOUCHPAD:
sp35444.exe

VIDEO:
162.50_quadro_winxp2k_english_whql.exe or sp33537.exe

WIRELESS:
sp36684.exe

Hope this helps out! :)
