Power button will not change settings.

Greetings,

I am using Win 7 and after I change the setting in start menu properties, for the power button action it still only puts the comp. in sleep mode. Has anyone else had this same problem?

This is not a problem, it a feature for the operating system which puts the computer in Sleep mode at a specified time.

Go to Control Panel > View as small icons > Power Options > change the settings here. You may also check in Advanced settings.
