pop up virus protection that won't go away

Also download and run these
http://www.superantispyware.com/
http://www.malwarebytes.org/
You may need to run MalwareBytes in Safemode with Networking
If you can't install SuperAntispyware download the portable version and run from a USB key
As I said a description of the Virus Protection popup would be a big help

hi germ x, i read thru the answer and i wasn't sure if the guy needing help had to pay for the service? also i asked FireFox (FF) on how to reset it so that it would be my default browser instead of mocafix and FF gave me a set of instructions that at least let FF back as my default browser. When i ran Revo Uninstaller i could see that mocafix was still there and was wondering if i should just try to unistall via revo? but i realise that that doesn't actually get rid of the virus, but its not come back as default browser??? thanks tlaloc
