Have seen a few of those before but always good for a laugh, I wonder how many companies lost business through those lapses.

Still yet to see a toilet covered in Newspaper just to confuse the user....do I use it or read it ? :):)

My favorite is the stall where the roll of paper is five feet away from the toilet - that made me howl.

Toilet humour :)

GS re the newspaper we did both during and just after World War 2 Cut up into squares and hung with a bit of string in our outdoors loo. Thinking back though the first toilet rolls we could get were not much better. Some were horrible, somehow Isal springs to mind but may have got that wrong. It was a long time ago.

Kate our one was just a cheap enamel job so I don't think Christies would be interested LOL

We also had Gas lighting up to around 1954 when Dad's brother who was an electrician was allowed by the rental agency to put in electricity downstairs. Still remember having to walk up to the Gas Light & Coke company at the Boleyn to get a new mantle. It was normally me that broke one :)
Later on I ran a feed upstairs so we could have electric light in the bedrooms. My first ever electrical job :)

The price of a plumber...........

A woman calls in a plumber when her washing machine breaks down.
The plumber arrives, studies the machine, then produces a hammer and gives it a hefty whack.
The washing machine starts working again and the plumber presents a bill for £200.
‘Two hundred pounds?’ says the woman. ‘All you did was hit it with the hammer.’
So the plumber gives her an itemised bill:

‘Hitting washing machine with a hammer – £5. Knowing where to hit it – £195.
