(33 posts)Don't worry, my son calls me old man. He had stated that I knew about building and repairing computers but he knew more about software...I kept silent. Then he needed help with his laptop, I bought a universal charger, enough to fix it, and made it reload itself and made reload disks for it from it...his response was wow you know how to do that...sometimes I think I need a rider's crop or a rolled up news paper for my adult son.
Doc70030, It's a generational thing. Kids are unwilling to believe their parents could have learned anything they haven't been exposed to. One day my daughter came home from school and was telling me about her day and what she learned. After which I expounded on the topics, bringing up points I thought would be interesting to her. After which, her eyebrows raised and she exclaimed "How did you know that?" I laughed and told her, "I went to school when I was younger also." :)
What I mean is threads like this,

The OP posts a legitimate question, as do the next 3 questions and answer. After that it goes off the chart.

Oh, you mean the OP who clearly stated that he illegally activated Windows using an "Activator" as he called it then installed the windows update file KB971033 which nailed the OS as being Pirated/illegally activated?
I was shocked when that thread was NOT CLOSED by a moderator. ;)
