Don't your pinkies hurt from hitting shift so much? XD

Usually when you get a brand new laptop it comes with a cd to install drivers, should you reformat your computer. It doesn't necessarily say drivers, it might say 'software' or something similar. Did you get one of those?

They Don't Give You Driver CDS With Laptop Not Even 1
Even If I Download Them From The Original Compaq Site It Will Not Work
Because Its For 'Windows Vista' You Can Go On XP Catogrey On Compaq Site For Your Laptop Model, Still You Wont See The Graphic Card Driver For Windows XP

Anyways Im Downloading What Scott Told Me To Download Right Now 55%

Perhaps your video card / drivers are not compatible with XP. You bought a Vista laptop :P for Vista hardware.

Well - if you bought a laptop with Vista preinstalled, use the Recovery Discs.

I'm pretty sure it's illegal for you to be sold a computer without the OS installation disks.

Indeed. Also we do not endorse illegal activites. Please stop discussing downloading it. Go online to Microsoft, buy a new licence, find someone who has a Home Basic disc and use your licence with it. Perfectly legit.

Edit: Perhaps this HP came where you had to make your own recovery discs, like Dell sometimes do.
