PLEASE GOD!!! HELP ME!!!

I am trying to istall linux ubuntu for a while now and just got the 8.04 verson the problem is that it never load properly when trying to run inside windows xp and I went to the even wiping out my hd just to give a clean install. I do have an old computer but the specs are all standard issuse to run the installation so if any one has a true geek in them please help thanks.

Could you give more details? "Never loading properly" isn't very descriptive.

i don't know if this ever got solved but you cant "run inside windows xp" you need to reboot with the 8.04 disk in the drive and boot from CD
