Pilots that make Pensacola Proud Perennially
(8 posts)I haven't seen that clip before. Is it new? (the old Van Halen video is still my visual favorite:) I know they have new planes now.
I'm wondering how many of you have actually been on the ground beneath these planes when they're flying? It's a thing of beauty, but no video can describe the deafening sounds or the sonic booms. We make sure our windows are open so they don't shake as much:)
Thanks for the props Scott, NAS appreciates it!
@ALL,
Check out my "bud" Kirby.
Turn on your sound.

He makes me want to take Pilot out of my profile due to envy.
Don't know any of the others personally.

@LH,
YES !!
There are some Pitts flying today. Still have cables holding the wings together.
The Negative 5Gs are pretty common.
It's the Positive G's which the aircraft can take is of up most importance.
Without composite materials, they are pretty low so the wings will separate and then - GOODBYE (LOL).
Pull Positive 2G and 3G maneuvers and one finds themselves looking for cracks real fast.
Kindest Regards,
Rick P. ♥ :)
