Win 7 and Office 2010 ...
I finally got personal.xlsb to open with Excel.
Now, since I have a number of excel files that open via the task scheduler, I end up with an additional personal.xlsb open with each newly opened
Excel file It is not unusual to see four or more of them opened simultaneously.
Is there any way to tell personal.xlsb that I only need to see one of you?

No, I do mean the task scheduler. I have a number of excel files that open via the task scheduler. Every time one of these *.xls* files opens another personal.xlsb (macro) file opens. [The personal.xlsb file resides in the excel start directory] It is supposed to open when an *.xsl* file opens.
The upshot is that if I have opened three excel files via the TaskScheduler, I also have opened three of the xlsb files.

Hi Xhi,
Concerned because first look at my pewter in the AM pops up five XLSBs from the five XLSs that opened during the night. These were opened for me to attend to first thing in the AM. Makes sense??
No doubt WAD is the "non solution" to my issue.
I was inquiring to find a work around.
Will mark as SOLVED.
