what is the mean of exposed on HDD?

i had no idea what did it means as i guess all the HDD is enclosed in the tower inside or hidden

Can you elaborate more. Of course, when you open/dismantle an hdd you expose the internal parts. Or, one can situate an hdd outside the case which I sometimes do when testing hdd's.

i find the phrase from PC tower description,

3.5 inch/HDD 5 hidden 2 exposed

so i had no idea what did it means?

Hidden drives usually refers to HDD and exposed drives are usually Optical drives (cd/dvd).

Since they are 3.5" HDDs, my guess is there are five internally mounted HDDS and two that can be installed from the outside, probably hot-swappable.
