I am curios, which is better to use when overclocking, the BIOS menu, or say AMD OverDrive?

I have an AMD Phenom 9850 x4 2.50GHz

I used the BIOS and it bumped it up to 2.6GHz

If the Bios can give you the values needed, then use the Bios.

Example: http://www.cyb3rglitch.com/tut.....-CPUs-RAM/

Will Need a Cooler to give good O/C.

Thanks Rick!

I'm not going to do any high O/C with this computer, just wanted to see how it worked!

I will stick to BIOS because it will be more stable.

The cooler I have will work for the minimal amount I will be O/Cing.

This is good little O/C with Stability. Computer MUST Pass Prime 95 Test for Days to call it a Good O/C !!!!

CPU: 2.85 Ghz
Multiplier: 12.5
Bus speed: 228
Core Voltage: 1.52 V
RAM: 912 Mhz
RAM Voltage: 2.16 V

Open the Sides and Blow Fans on the Ram, HDs, NB, etc......

If O/C can't pass Prime, then the O/C is NO good. :) :)
