can any one help me to get rid of the password box that will not go away. It will not accept the password and i cannot close the box but it pops back up again.. If i changed the password would it help? but i don't know how to do that.

You can usually change your account password by going to the Web Mail version of your Email provider. Usually you can find a link to their mail at the web page of the domain name of your email account. Just type in the part after the @ sign into a browser. See if there is a link to their web mail.

However, check your port settings pop/imap and smtp, authentication, (ssl etc)
If you can log into your email provider, there should be setting info you can apply to Outlook
