Outlook 2007 with GMail Problems

I am having trouble setting up Outlook 2007 to link with my company's Gmail Apps account. I went through your tutorial, and set everything up. It seems to be working fine, except I can't send emails. Everything else works, stars and flags sync, gmail folders show up, I received all the messages that were in my gmail inbox, and I get new messages. I just can't send. It "timed out waiting for a response from SMTP server."

Tutorial? Outlook 2007 has automatic setup for Gmail. Just input your name, e-mail address and password and it's all automatic.
