Hey guys, hope you're all doing ok, haven't been around much lately because so much else going on! :(

Anyway, what do you think of this?

Most reviews seem to be pretty good, with the only major criticism being the looks (which I am happy with) and occasional issues with colour which can be fixed apparently.

Anybody know any reason why I shouldn't buy it?

Oh yeah forgot to mention that it will be my extended monitor - so will have almost 40 inches!

I'll have a look around, although not particularly hopeful :(

I don't know what you get up to, but 17" is enough for me.

Well it's a lot easier having loads of windows open at once, large size will be useful, will be excellent for watching movies on the quality of screen, and also HDMI will be great for when at some point I upgrade to blu-ray and when using friends' xboxes/ps3s.
Plus gaming will be awesome!

I do have lots of windows open at once. It's just a matter of arranging all of them with a bit visible, so they gain focus on mouse hover :)

How does it compare to this?
Other than the Dell having the webcam, and significantly less contrast ratio?

In your price range, I should stick with Dell, or Samsung. Or spend a little more for HP.

I like the look of Dell, just wondering if the LG (which is similar) is better - or anything else

Don't really want to spend much over £200

Last year, when I was looking around, LG didn't get such good reviews. They are very cheap here.

From what I've heard Dell seems to be pretty reliable (apart from the odd scaremongering cases you get with all brands)
So will probably go with that

Looks pretty nice and the couple of reviews I saw were positive. Only sad part is that it costs about the same in Pounds as it costs in Dollars. I have two HP2205Ws - they are pretty nice too. Have HDMI but no camera. There is nothing that beats a big screen. I can run all browsers at 150% zoom and still get enough on the screen (need that because of my bad eyes). Next time I'll get a 24".

Sudden thought
would this one http://accessories.us.dell.com.....u=320-7345
which is almost exactly the same be better?
the 23" has more features etc which is great, just is a slightly odd resolution,
this more normal 24" may or may not be a better alternative?
Or will the 23" not affect much if anything anyway?
Edit: Thinking about it, on the 23" with higher resolution, surely you get better image quality, where 1" barely makes a difference?
