I have two computers. When I open a program (Internet Exployer or Google, for example) on Computer Number 1, the program opens to a full screen on my monitor. On Computer Number 2, these same programs open as much smaller windows on the monitor, not full screen. I then have to click on the square box at the top right of the screen to enlarge the window to full screen. I would like to omit the second step of clicking on the square box. I know this is possible since Computer Number 1 opens the programs to full screen, but I cannot figure out how to make Computer Number 2 do the same thing. Both computers are using the same version of Windows XP Pro. Any advice would be appreciated.

Method 1) An arrow exists in the upper left-hand corner of the small (un-maximized) window. Click on that arrow and a menu will appear. Click on Re-size and drag the top/sides to full size.

Method 2) Right-click on the title bar and in a pop-up menu you will see a resize option. Go to the top edge of the page and drag the edge upwards to its tallest height. (You need to do this when the window is not maximized).

Method 3) Alt + F8 and drag the window edge where you want it.

Either way, whenever you open the window it will always open large, regardless of whether it is maximized ir not and the center size button (between minimize and maximize) will be rendered moot..
