I cannot open any word or exel docs, I get window that says "Microsoft Word (exel) Starter cannot be opened. Try again or repaair the product in Control Panel." I have tried Control Panel and clicking or right clicking only gives me the option to "Uninstall". I ran a system restore today to clear up issues with email attachments that had occured after loading music apps. Now I can attach email items but cannot open docs.
Can anyone tell me whats up???? How can I fix this asap???

The starter program is only working for 3 months after install. Then you have to buy a product key. Get this free Word reader. There is a similar one for Excel.
Was it "starter" -- or was it a trial version that has now expired?
Edit: Just saw whs' post above. Yeah, your Office probably expired.
If you don't require cutting edge Office features (eg VBA macros) -- then I highly recommend downloading a FREE office suite substitute instead. LibreOffice is popular. But I like the lighter / nimbler Kingsoft 2012 office suite. Their fancy version costs money, but the free version is plenty powerful (and truly free -- no time limit).

It came with the puter, I got it about a yr ago, it wasnt a trial. So these sites are my best option?
They r safe and I cant get back what I had?
